“Stāsts ir kustība ne tikai uz nezināmu, nepazīstamu, svešu punktu, bet arī uz tādu punktu, kuram, šķiet, nedz pirms, nedz ārpus šīs kustības nav ne mazākās realitātes un kurš turklāt ir tik valdonīgs, ka vienīgi ar to stāsts arī iemanto savu burvību, tā kā tas nespēj sākties, iekams tas šo punktu nav sasniedzis; taču tikai stāsts un tā neparedzētā kustība arī rada telpu, kur šis punkts kļūst reāls, varens un pievilcīgs.”
